Hi!

I’m Sam, and I'm a Jersey City based Filipino-American illustrator and designer with a focus on storytelling. Using playful & bright colors with fun shapes and locations to depict different life moments for myself or other people is what I enjoy best. Whether it’s normal downtime or weddings, or time with friends and family, it’s all a good time that I like to recreate. Meanwhile I hope to grow in other artistic skills I wouldn’t normally have time to dabble in such as stamp carving and punch-needling.

I’m currently freelancing full time as an illustrator under @sammakesamess, while running an online Etsy Shop and a Patreon Happy Mail Club. And over the summer I’m an art teacher & set designer for Jersey City’s Camp Liberty, run under the Educational Arts Team.
